Paid – Article Access

Offering premium content to the right users is essential for membership sites, online courses, or premium knowledgebases. The Pro Article Manager in the AI SmartBase WordPress plugin allows you to set up paid access for individual articles, giving you full control over who can view your valuable content.

How to Setup Paid Article Access

  1. Navigate to Pro Article Manager
    • Go to AI SmartBase > Pro Article Manager in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Enable Paid Access for the individual article.
    • Under Define Article Access, check Require Purchase to Access and click Save.
  3. Activate WooCommerce
    • Make sure WooCommerce is installed and activated on your WordPress site.
  4. Create a WooCommerce Product
    • Go to Products > Add New in WooCommerce.
    • While creating the product, select the AI SmartBase tab
    • Choose the article you enabled for paid access in Step 2.
    • Configure all other product details (price, description, inventory, etc.) and click Publish.
  5. Copy the Product ID
    • After creating the product, note the Product ID.
  6. Link the Product to the article.
    • Return to AI SmartBase > Pro Article Manager.
    • Under Incomplete Paid Access Setup, click Define Article Access.
    • Enter the WooCommerce Product ID in the WooCommerce Product ID (Required) field and click Save
  7. Verify the Setup
    • Log in to your site using a test user account.
    • You will see that the paid access is now connected for the category.
  8. Access After Payment
    • After successful payment, the purchase details will appear in the My Purchase section.
    • The user will gain access to the category through the Private Access section.
