Core architecture


  • Custom Post Type: aikb — stores articles, FAQs, attachments, child posts.
  • Taxonomy: aikb_category — hierarchical categories (root + nested).
  • Shortcodes & Blocks: below listed shortcodes available.

Admin


Settings (tabbed)

  • Tab One — Post Slug
    • Change article post slug and category slug.
    • Choose editor type: Block (Gutenberg) or Classic when creating articles.
  • Tab Two — General
    • On/off features: chat widget, meta fields, voting, email request form, related articles, recently viewed, comments, next/previous links, AJAX search, table of contents, breadcrumbs, featured image/video display
    • On/off features: Choose which meta to show/hide: Views, Likes, Date, Read Time, Post By.
    • On/off features: Reading progress tracker (progress bar at top).
    • On/off features: Flagged posts, Print, Bookmark, Comment Rating Info, Font Size Changer, Browser Text-to-Speech.
  • Tab Three — Email
    • Configure request/notification email address.
  • Tab Four — Privacy
    • Control voting/rating access (e.g., Logged-in users only).
  • Tab Five — Static Text
    • Edit built-in static copy strings used by the plugin.
  • Tab Six — OpenAI API
    • Enter OpenAI API Key.
    • Features:
      • Quick Summary inside every article (auto/generate).
      • Chat Widget (Smart Assistance) using OpenAI.
      • AI Content: generate content inside the editor and insert it into the post.
    • Note: Quick Summary depends on API quota — show message when quota or limits are reached.

Pro Article Manager

  • Categories with hover actions: (When access control is defined, each category displays visible information indicating its specific access permissions)
    • Add New Post: Add a new post inside the selected category
    • View: View the category’s UI page on click.
    • Define Category Access: Control who can view articles in this category
      • Access available only to logged-in users
      • Allow by user role
      • Require Purchase to Access
    • Image: Add an image icon for the category.
    • Delete: Delete the category.

  • Article hover actions: Includes the following features with drag-and-drop support for adjusting article order. (Each displayed article will show visible notices about: flagged, rating, access control status, presence of attachments and their access controls, and whether FAQs are included.)
    • Add Child Post: Add a post inside the root article (nested record).
    • Quick Edit: Quickly edit the title.
    • Edit: Redirect to the edit page.
    • View: View the record in the UI section.
    • Define Category Access: Control who can view this article:
      • Access available only to logged-in users
      • Allow by user role
      • Require Purchase to Access
    • Add Attachment: Add multiple attachments inside the article.
      • Drag and drop to adjust the display position of uploaded attachments.
      • Define attachment access:
        • Access available only to logged-in users

  • Unassigned articles
    • Display all articles that are not assigned to any category.

  • Guest posts
    • Display all guest posts that users have submitted for easy review.

Pro Category Manager

  • Drag-and-drop ordering for root and nested categories.

Pro Analytics

  • Purchase insights: Displays purchase information for paid categories and articles, helping you track sales performance and customer engagement.
  • Counts: total articles, root categories, subcategories, articles with attachments/FAQ.
  • Rating summary (1–5 stars)
  • Top 5 viewed – Displays the five most viewed articles.
    • Liked articles – Shows articles that users have liked.
    • Unlinked articles – Shows articles that users have marked as unlinked.
  • Flagged posts overview :
    • Green = Flagged as outdated article by 1 user.
    • Yellow = Flagged as outdated article by 2 users.
    • Red = Flagged as outdated article by 3 or more users.

Purchase Info

  • Displays in detail purchase information for paid categories and articles, helping you track sales performance and customer engagement.

Editor

  • If the OpenAI key is configured, an ‘AI Content’ button will appear in the editor section. Clicking it opens a popup where users can request AI-generated content, which can then be easily inserted into the editor.

Import / Export

  • Export: standard WordPress export — note: term meta for categories may be excluded depending on export tools.
  • Import: supports importing posts into AI SmartBase including meta fields for a smoother migration.

Global

  • Chat Widget (Smart Assistance): Chat boot, If OpenAI key is present, search results will be enhanced by AI; otherwise a content-based search is used. Private content is excluded from search results.

ShortCode – User Dashboard

  • Dashboard – Quick summary of bookmarked articles, flagged articles, comment ratings, liked/disliked articles, and guest-submitted posts.
  • Private Access – Displays categories and articles with paid access, as well as access granted by the admin.
  • My Purchases – Shows all payment information for purchased categories and articles.
  • Bookmark Articles – Lists all bookmarked articles.
  • Flagged Articles – Displays all flagged articles.
  • Comment Ratings – Shows all comment ratings.
  • Likes/Dislikes – Displays all liked or disliked articles.
  • Guest Post – Section where users can submit guest posts.
  • Guest Submitted Posts – Displays all submitted guest posts.
  • Submitted TicketsAdvance Private Ticket System (ONLY Available via the add-on plugin AI SmartBase Ticket.)
